Since I've been 29...

Oh Stink.

I have been neglecting my blog.

Here are some things that have happened in my life since I turned 29.

(the good, the bad, and the ugly.)

My uncle Jim died. I posted the link in my last blog entry. This is a very sad time for my family right now, and I don't know what to say other than that the world lost a very, very, VERY wonderful man.

I'm back at school. Today was my first day back, actually. I was really hesitant to go, but seeing friends and opening up a new stapler, a package of dry-erase markers, and a new instrument were enough to put me back in my happy place. Don't you just LOVE a new school year?

I've seen three movies: Julie and Julia, The Time Traveler's Wife, and the Proposal. All excellent...I would highly recommend them. Next on our list is GI Joe...let me tell you how excited I am for that one!! (Can you pick up on my sarcasm though the computer? I thought so.) To be fair, though, Ben went with me to see the Proposal, so I better do my part. Marriage IS about compromise, after all. :-)

I started my book. It's harder than I thought it was going to be, but I'm still going for it.

We lost a parent at St. Paul's. The VP of Sprint that died in Colorado when a boulder crashed into his car is one of our dads. I am so so SO sad for this family, of which I have had all three boys as students. Please pray for them as they go through this horrible time.

I became a card-carrying member of the Mid-Continent Public Library! Isn't that embarrassing? Not that I have a library card, but that I JUST NOW got one. Don't tell anyone, okay? Actually, I say, "Better late than never." I can't wait to go and check out my first book. Any good recommendations?

I guess this is all I have to say for now about being 29. I hope to have even more EXCITING (and maybe less sad) news as I forge ahead into this unknown territory.

Oh! And don't forget to check out my seester's blog. The link is on the right!

HOLLA -
