Oh Boy.

I don't know what this kid is doing to my brain.

Oh wait - yes I do. He/She is sucking it right out of me - from my skull right down to my uterus.

Case in point - my last blog entry. Consumation of Tums? Really? The correct spelling is "consummation", and I think we all know that it don't mean eating.

I also sent a ginormous email to many friends and family members telling them that this Friday, doctors are going to take a needle, stick it in my stomach, and then into my baby's lungs. WRONG! Try into the fluid surrounding my baby. I really didn't know this until I researched it, but still....I must have either really nice people in my life that don't want to hurt my feelings by telling me how medically retarded I am, or...they are medically retarded, too.

Maybe the reason why pregnancy makes you so dumb is that you have to get used to not being perfect in front of your kid, because if you pretend to be, you will royally screw them up. I am slowly realizing this.

So, one of my goals is just to be my imperfectly made, goofy self, and hopefully this baby will still love me.

(fingers crossed)

Missy, Indeed, God blesses us with the perfect child for our own life. One who will love us for our crazy mixed-up selves and hopefully not become too mixed-up too early on. I say this as I think back to earlier today when my darling son followed his father around our house today repeating both "Dude" and "Bugger." God bless us and our little blessings of joy. :) Cristi

Yes, I am here as living proof that my already-borne child knows exactly how goofy and imperfect I am. She'll tell you. :)

I've said it before, Miss... you ARE the perfect mama for this baby. You already are. You are just what he or she needs. And Ben is exactly what you both need, too. Hang in there, and I can't wait to hear about L.B.'s arrival.

Also, I am wearing that EXACT same striped shirt at this very moment. Yay for pregnant friends!
Love you!!!!

you seemed perfectly legit to me.... :) Did not know any different about the amnio. Baby's lungs aren't inflated anyway, so wasn't even worried about a long scary needle poking a teeny little hole. You must take you ability to BS about medical things from your brother. HAHAHAHAHAHA

Haha - Yay for Old Navy maternity! SoCo, I think our long-distance relationship status requires desperate measures, including dressing alike. Thanks for the advice, ladies - words of wisdom from three of the most fantastic moms I know. :-)
